I tend to eat a lot of eggs and fruit when eating alone...easy prep and cleanup.

Also, hummus. Dirty secret there!

At a dinner party, I had some of the best brussel sprouts I've ever had the pleasure of eating. The hostess was coy on the details, but I managed to find out at least that it was made by cooking brussel sprouts on the stalk in some sort of mixture which included 7-Up.

Dear AHT: Best Burger in Wisconsin at Kroll's West in Green Bay

Kroll's hamburgers are distinguished by the amount of butter that drips into your lap after taking it out of the wax paper wrapper. I haven't been there in a few years, but traveling to Kroll's and pushing the button on the wall to summon the service is definitely a lasting memory.

I can, however, vouch for Al's--a favorite dive of my late grandfather in Green Bay. Oh yeah, juicy meat.
