I know, like many of my fellow CA restaurant workers out there, our kitchen is staffed largely by Hispanics. Therefore, the fare is regularly from their homeland. Last night we had barbacoa style goat with fresh salsa and tortillas. Amazing.

What's the Worst Burn You've Endured While Eating?

I've got two. One temp. One capsaicin.

The temp one came from a jalapeño popper straight from the fryer. It copletely burned the roof of my mouth in one big blister. Couldn't eat right for a week.

The chilie burn came from when a couple of my co-workers in the kitchen from guadalajara were making salsa. They asked me to try a chip and handed me one. My naïve self took the chip and ate it, not realizing that it was a chip loaded with Dave's Insanity Sauce. I drank a gallon of milk after that. Ouch. I never let anyone load a chip or cracker for me anymore.

Never tried it, but we used to throw them at each other when I worked at a fishery in AK. The Japanese who worked in the egg room raved about it. I'd love to try it now, but it's not like the local mega-mart stocks it.

I have been there a few times and the cheese skirt is fantastic. I've never had to ask for their skirt specifically yet I got it every time. Never hurts to ask though. I havn't been a big fan of their fries 'cause I don't beleive they change the oil enough, but maybe it's just me.
