I grew up in Iowa, and the best time of the year, despite the heat, was late August when the corn harvests came in and the Catholic churches in town would put on corn festivals as fundraisers and social events. They had _the best_ sweet corn, and it was just so tasty and fresh and sweet ... the kernels were almost white, they were so sweet. And though I grew up with braces on my face, I still loved eating corn on the cob and dealing with a ball of floss later on. Ah, sweet corn memories.
California has nothing on Iowa corn. Trust.
How Much Should You Tip on Pizza Delivery?
I always tip a pizza guy (or girl) at least as much as I would tip a waiter in a restaurant ... and maybe a little more because more often than not, the pizza guy (or girl) has to pay for their own gas. And they have to drive in San Francisco, which is a P.I.A. any other day of the week, but when you have hot pizzas that have to be delivered hot, it's even worse, I'm sure.

This is so interesting. When I go to the movies, and when I pour my own drink from the fountain, I always mix Coke and Cherry Coke. Full Cherry Coke is too much, so just a little bit adds enough of the cherry flavor I enjoy. Next time, I will definitely try the Fanta/Coke mix. Oh, and I always get snarky comments from my friends when I mix sodas: "Are we at the roller skating rink?" "Are we back in junior high school?" "Is that a suicide?"
