What do you think is the best at home ice cream maker?
I am thinking of buying one and would love recommendations.
We have Thai Thursday. I love it.
Madeleine's on 9th ave and 30th something has a nice indoor garden room in case it rains, but it is very pretty and the food is quite good. Also, La Petite Cafe in Carrol Gardens offers a similar room with lots of garden sculptures, etc.
I think Chestnut on Smith Street is just wonderful. They never fail to be delicious and the service is wonderful. They have a nice little outdoor garden too. Also, Frankies on Court is quite nice as well.
That's adorable! Most cookies sans chocolate chips should mail well. I would vote for peanut butter for a boy favorite + mini m&ms in there and you should be all set.
I have heard good things about Epicurean: http://www.theepicureanrestaurant.com/
I love grilling fennel in balsamic vinegar and olive oil.
I like My Husband Cooks: http://myhusbandcooks.wordpress.com/
the buzzer of a timer when some kind of delicious good is finished baking.
Chocolate cake with chocolate icing and Jewish coffee cake are amongst my faves. I'm with french tart--there are too many delicious options. Strawberry shortcake, carrot cake, burned butter....
I like Otto on 5th avenue and 8th street. It has great little plates of italian delights and wonderful pizzas and pastas.
yelp.com is a great tool for reviews.
i love ronnybrook farm's chocolate. they can be found at some nyc farmer's markets as well as through fresh direct.
Babbo (but I am going tonight finally!) and Shake Shack.
Ronnybrook's ice cream is also mad delicious!
I am a big fan of Franny's Pizza on Flatbush Avenue (near 6th ave) in Brooklyn. Have you tried it? If not, I strongly recommend it. They use all fresh and local ingredients.
Thanks, everyone! This is great!
When I was a kid my parents would plan our road trips around a Cracker Barrel location/road map they had picked up years earlier. On some trips we would stop 2, sometimes 3, times in a day. Frightening, I know.
I am thinking of buying one and would love recommendations.
I love salad, but think some store bought dressings can stumble when it comes to flavor. I tend to end up with multiple bottles of dressing that I try once and never use again. What are your favorites?
After trying out a couple of disappointing pepper mills (oxo and vic firth), and reading countless reviews of other pepper mills, I am wondering what the readers and folks at Serious Eats think are the best quality pepper mills on the market?
superkb hasn't favorited a post yet.
Yes! Ham steaks (or minute steaks) with mac and cheese from a box. I despised those dinners. That's probably why I stopped eating red meat at the age of 12.
