How to Make a Spanish Tortilla
Having lived with a family for 2 years in Sevilla I am also partial to my "mother's" tortilla. Potatoes were never sliced but cut into small pieces. This is the only acceptable way to make and/or eat tortilla. I also still crave her tortilla de espinacas made with egg, chopped spinach and copious amounts of garlic (no potato) and when she asked me prior to my last visit what foods I wanted her to prepare for me that was near the top of my list.
Have You Ever Had Airline Food You Actually Liked?
Midwest Airlines served great meals. Last time I flew them (a few years ago) it was simple midwest-ish fare; choice of warm croissant with chicken salad or bratwurst with the fixins. Warm chocolate chip cookies and champagne were complimentary on my simple Boston - Minneapolis flight.
Poll: Hash Browns or Home Fries?
I am a hash brown lover so one of my biggest menu pet peeves is when restaurants don't distinguish between hash browns and home fries - surprising but true. I have ordered more hash browns and been served home fries then I care to remember.

Wawa for this girl but my cousin, on a recent trip to visit her in St Louis, made us all pile in the car (we are in our 30's now!) and go to Circle K which is her fav for a late night junk food run for old time's sake.
