Simple, No-Frills Pumpkin Pie

@lemons - what's the recipe for the spiced graham cracker-walnut crust... it sounds amazing, but the link doesn't work :o(

I use the Cinna-Bon cinnamon rolls from a can, quartered, rolled, and with a brown sugar and butter mixture poured over it, then baked. It's sooo delicious!! It's called monkey bread because you pick it off to eat it like monkey's pick the little bugs off each other... of course it doesn't sound that great in writing... lmao!

Making Chocolate

I actually used a crock pot on low to melt the chocolate and it made it super easy!! I didn't have to worry about it hardening while dipping all of my truffles, and I was able to continue adding some as needed. I tried the double boiler, but too clumsy and the microwave is literally on the other side of the house because of our old wiring... lol!

Ok, I know he's eating a lot of pasta, but it's with tomato sauce, not alfredo. He's eating white bread and mayo... still not like he's eating it straight out of the jar. He eats a TON of food, but it isn't necessarily all "junk". Man, he better enjoy it now because as machellebelle stated, once he's done swimming, at least competitively, he's going to have to eat like a "normal" person!! Go Michael! Only one more to go!

Hello - check this out

Savory plus 2 sweet styles, in a bag. Less expensive than going through Williams Sonoma. Plus you can call King Arthur anytime and a professional will help you through whatever issue you are having. They are a wonderful company in Vermont, it's worth the trip for the serious baker.

We have a savory bread here called "Pork Bread" made with bacon, ham and onions from the local Polish bakery.
Bacon makes anything better...

You can do a savory version with butter (or oil) and dried herbs or a seasoning mix of your choice. Powdered cheese is also nice. Or, you can tuck a little nugget of cheese inside each doughball with the spices on the outside.

i hear that he's planning to swim in 2012, so he can enjoy his massive intake for another four years. i would absolutely love to cook for him, i just wouldn't want to have to pay for the groceries!

what an extraordinary achievement.

Talk about someone who's not a cheap date!

I bet he doesn't get a lot of dinner invitations...or breakfast, or lunch.

wonder what he eats when he's got the munchies?
