Love me some Alton! BUT!! He has an angry attitude on the new ICA competition and I dont like it. He seems mean to the contestants and it seems so phony. Such an act... I like the sweet OLD Alton. And he's too thin!
if you can choose a dish to represent your country
I am from the midwest (Indiana) and we cant live without our Tenderloins on Bun with lettuce ,mayo, sliced tomato and pickle. Served with Fries and a Coke. I think that it must be a regional thing because I have never seen it on a blog or featured anywhere actually. Are you kidding me? You dont know what your missing!!

We always have corned beef and Cabbage on New Years Day (so that we will be wealthy the rest of the year). It doesn't work, why do we keep doing it?? But we always throw a dime inside while its cooking. I dont know why because she would fish hers out before serving.
Salting pasta water is for flavor. You can add way too much salt if you wait until its cooked. Pasta is very difficult to get salty enough, I think.
Always throw salt over the left shoulder. Be careful in a restaurant! I have salted folks in nearby booths!

I would challenge anyone to buy deli meat (1/8 #) and some of all the veggies, the bread and the cheese for under four dollars. It would be close... I would rather just have them make me one...
