Cook the Book: 'Jamie's Food Revolution'

I have a very particular husband, so a lot of cheap and easy meals are out for us. My staple "Don't feel like going to the grocery store" weeknight meal, however, is from scratch pizza. I found a recipe for dough online that doesn't need to rise, and it's delicious!

Cook the Book: 'Nigella Christmas'

America's Test Kitchen's Chocolate chip cookies are always beautiful for me. So big and puffy!

Father & Son Chili Dogs and Burgers: An Undiscovered Gem in New Jersey?

This is bad. This is very bad. Linden is minutes from my work, and I'm suddenly craving a chili dog.

Cook the Book: 'New Classic Family Dinners'

Homemade ravioli. I can remember sitting around the family table on the farm (it was right there in the kitchen) with all my cousins, all of us sitting on phone books, eating homemade ravioli.

I don't know if anyone in the extended family makes ravioli from scratch anymore; I know my mom and grandmother don't, but goodness it was FABULOUS.

Served: Why Tipping Makes Everyone Uncomfortable

Seems to me that a bad tip means the service was bad. We all need feedback on how we are doing our jobs, and a server needs to know what he/she did wrong to deserve a bad tip. Seems reasonable to me that you asked... would I ever have the gumption to do it? No way, but I think it's perfectly reasonable that you did.

Likewise, I call the manager when service is exemplary... it costs me absolutely nothing and commends the server.
