Not really a huge fan of olives but olive oil is a wonderful thing.

Cook the Book: 'New Classic Family Dinners'

My dad makes super-delicious asian food for our family dinners. Pork belly in a thick, savory sauce with ginger and star anise, steamed flounder, sauteed bok choy or spinach. Mmmm.

Dim Sum at Ocean Jewel in Flushing, Queens

Aren't the "pan-fried pork and chive dumplings" under the chicken feet, usually made with shrimp, rather than pork? I've never had pork in one of those. Lovely photos, though!

Hm...the best dessert I've had fairly recently was the creme brulee at the Med in Boulder.

I haven't yet gotten my first cookbook! Instead, I call up my dad and ask for recipes :)

Best Burger in the World at The Little Owl?

For fancy burgers, the best I've ever had is the burger at La Laiterie in Providence, RI. For a cheaper, take-out burger, I'd say Shake Shack then In-N-Out.

I went to David Burke Townhouse and everything was delicious! I would definitely recommend it.

Bob & Timmy's Is the Fifth Best Pizzeria in the U.S.?

I've gotta admit that I love Bob & Timmy's everything grilled pizza (minus the olives) and I'm a New York girl. It's definitely not your traditional pizza but it's lighter than you would think and the ingredients are great. It definitely trumps most of the pizza in Providence. Admittedly, though, I haven't tried Al Forno's version.

A Mini San Francisco Pizza Jaunt: Does Alan Richman Know His Bay Area Pizza?

Bob and Timmy's is really great, definitely the best pizza I've had in Providence. It's really...interesting. I suggest the everything wood-grilled pizza without olives :) I'm actually a native New Yorker but have lived in Providence for the last few years due to college.

'Food Network Magazine' Lists the Best Burgers in the Country

Haven Brother's for RI? That's ridiculous considering it's a diner truck when there's an amazing amazing burger at La Laiterie.

Cook the Book: 'Tacos'

The best taco I've had was during this spring break when I was in Mexico. We'd been hanging out at the beach all morning and my boyfriend and I decided to go search for some food. We found this little taco shop where the lady asked us if we wanted chorizo or pork. We chose the pork and it arrived on a huge tortilla with cheese and tons of meat. Plus there was a huge selection of things to add, from beans to three different kinds of salsa. It was utterly delicious.

Ian's Pizza: Built for Drunk College Students, But Good Enough for the Rest of Us

@akatkin- I was just going to mention Antonio's! Even though the first one and only one I've been to is the one in Providence, RI although I've seen the one in Amherst. I prefer New York pizza though...the toppings at Antonio's are good but they can't really compare to a fresh baked New York pizza.

Dim Sum at Ocean Jewel in Flushing, Queens

Chinese food in NYC used to be amazing... why is it not still? Statistically there are more Chinese-born inhabitants in New York than any other major metropolitan area... but it seems to be universally agreed that the food is on the decline.
