The sandwiches here are decent, but the bread is usually really, really chewy - painfully so! I prefer their daily sandwiches served on regular bread.
Best sandwich in Manhattan?
Lots of good advice here. I've spend the last two years trying to find the best (documented at simplysandwiches.net ). It really depends on what kind of flavors you like.
Pastrami: Katz / 2nd ave deli / Eisenbergs
Bahn Mi: Nicky's / that herbal shop
Burgers: Shake Shack / corner bistro / dumont burger / etc. lots of reccs here.
Italian: Porchetta / Defontes / sal kris / alidoro
