Grocery Ninja: What to Do With Condensed Milk

Here's one more use. Take 2 lg pkgs 14 oz sweetened coconut, chopped various dried fruits, any nuts like walnuts/almonds/peanuts/ and some choc chips. Mix w/1 can of condensed milk. Form into balls on cookies sheet lined w/silicone or parchemnt. Flatten by hand- they do not spread. bake at 350 for 10 mins or until golded brown. Yummy and FILLED w/fiber!! very flexible as to ingredients, size, etc. Enjoy!

Legendary NYC Vegetable Peeler Salesman Joe Ades, 75

I JUST saw him recently at Macys and then at Unions Square about a month ago. He looked fine! I am shocked (was in LA for 3 weeks so didnt see this news). I am sorry now I did not ever buy a peeler. But I did always stop and listen for a bit. He will be missed- a true New Yorker!!!

Recipe Request: Best Brisket Recipes

My favorite is also from Epicurious but of course modified....its called Sweet and Sour Brisket but my way is to brown the meat, then remove and saute onions, carrots, celery- on side mix 1 bottle beer with 1 can whole cranbery sauce and a few tblsp ketchup. Return meat and then pour on liquid. I now add fresh cranberries (or frozen version) and cover. Put in oven at 350 for 3 hrs. Definitely do day ahead, slice ahead as above. Always gets raves. Should add using a cast iron Le Creuset type vessel ensures carmelization. I have this in open non iron pots and doesnt work. Can also be done on top of stove but not as good.

Well I love Bagels and lox and like my bagel toasted even if its sacrilege w/a fresh one. But most often I like a GOOD eggs benedict! Need that lemon in the hollandaise though.

Seriously Delicious Holiday Giveaway: Zingerman's Praise the Lard Gift Box

Travelling in Taiwan where pork is in many dishes, I had my fill of delicious roast pork. We would see the pigs on trucks on the highway (alive) and the heads of (cooked) pigs in many stalls along the road. Pork is king there!

Seriously Delicious Holiday Giveaway: Edible Chocolate Box from Charles Chocolates

hot fudge sundae but the one of my dreams from when i was little in Maryland at a family place called GIFFORDS which no longer exists. They had the typical counter and tables delivering the hot fudge in individual little silver saucers for the customer to pour on.
