I liked pizza as much as the next guy until I won Home Slice Pizza's Hands On An Eggplant Sub (HOES) contest in 2008 by standing with my hand on an eggplant sub longer than anyone else. I won free pizza for a year. I won again last year, but left Austin for greener pastures here in SF. Unable to live without free pizza, I have found myself a pizza reviewer out here.

Patxi's Pizza: Chicago-Style Stuffed Pizza in San Francisco
No worries, I actually had to look at one to verify my snark, so I'm not above you in my imperfect geographical knowledge.
Patxi's Pizza: Chicago-Style Stuffed Pizza in San Francisco
Isn't Chicago east of the Mississippi? I've heard they do a nice deep dish there.
Goat Hill Pizza: San Francisco's Best Pizza Deal
SP - It's pretty awesome anyway you look at it. Hope it spreads, see no reason why it shouldn't. People get lots of hot (don't overlook this key aspect) slices, there's 0 waste, pizza shop has tons of visitors, you get a varied diet, not too expensive: everyone wins! There's no leftovers, and it's so popular that there's a huge line, but no leftovers isn't terrible, and the packed-ness means that hot pies come out all the time.

A ton of fun is a very apt description, Burger365

hell to the yes!
Ridiculous Feats of Endurance at Home Slice Pizza's Carnival O' Pizza
Don't spend too much energy pitying them. Lauren and Sonia all enjoyed competing in the contest (at least at first). It's fun for them, gives them interesting stuff to talk about at parties and the chance to win free pizza for a year. Unlike Hands on a Hardbody, none of the HOES has a sob story, they're in it for fun.

@Daniel: the back part. The bottom pic sorta shows it. See where the sauce drips down off the slice at the back? It's covering up where the crust/bread starts because the cheese is pulling it down, but it's pretty thick.
