My favorite bakery is really my own kitchen. Judith Jones gave a really nice appreciation of home baking at her blog recently. I used to go to Brenner's in Northern Virginia a lot; right now I've got my eye on Bakeshop. They've been sending out a stream of delicious sounding tweets as @BakeshopVA, and I can't wait to visit.
