Rick Bayless cooking anything Mexican!
Oh, also my favorite food blog besides the Homesick Texan is Smitten Kitchen :)
Yes! This book is going on my Christmas list :)
where do I buy vanilla bean powder?
I agree, deetroitMI: Coffee Crisp is definitely the best candy bar.
I was in Canada last summer visiting family and in 7 or 8 days we went to Tim Hortons for Timbits and coffee at least 5 times.
I also love ketchup chips!
Thanks for the list, I loved it!
In Canada there are tons of different flavors (er, flavours) of chips that are supposed to taste like other things. Chicken tikka, hot wings, bacon, dill pickles, baked potato, fries n' gravy, roast chicken, and of course ketchup. There were more Asian inspired ones I can't remember the name of.
I like the ketchup and the dill pickle, since I grew up with them. The more crazy flavors I noticed on a recent trip to visit family. They don't sound that appealing!
Split between Trader Joes and a little produce market
@Cassaenra : Hilarious!!
I seem to have miscommunicated. I see nothing wrong with SE posting that recipe or raising revenue in this way. I understand they have bills to pay. And am very happy the bills are paid so they can continue to bring me great content!
I was trying to ask why the comments were disabled. It seems there are lots of people who like this recipe and people who don't, as well as a debate about different ingredients that could have been a part of that article. One of my favorite parts of SE is seeing the comments underneath of a recipe... more interactive than a cookbook.
@Adam Kuban, I see your difference about advertisement v. forum and I guess that I can accept this answer! :)
If the problem is the people are staying too long, then the coffee shop should implement a time limit, not a computer ban.
I buy my eggs at TJ's, who was not part of the recall.
only happens at Trader Joe's, although I've had really friendly Whole Foods cashiers too
I've been wondering why on earth Starbucks calls what I consider a cafe au lait (brewed coffee + steamed milk) a cafe misto?
I answered 'yes' but really no, I took Home Ec in junior high school. It was half sewing and half cooking. Very enjoyable and I still have one of the things that I made in the sewing section!
it's up to the parents to decide what their children eat. period.
I love pineapple on pizza, in stir-fry, grilled, on kebabs, etc.
It is also wonderful as a dessert- in cake (pineapple upside down cake), in a fruit salad, or just by itself.
I add chocolate chips to my banana bread. Very tasty!
I agree with @MikeinHouston ... Ninfa's is not that good.
Kasra's on Westheimer (Persian)
Lupe Tortilla's (TexMex)
Treebeard's (Cajun, inside a church in downtown)
Goode Co. (BBQ)
And if you are feeling like a burrito better (but comparable) than Chipotle, try Freebirds.
"Their" quite tasty? Sorry, the teacher in me just cried a little bit.
@svhendler - the Cheeseboard is on the to-try list.
I just ate there yesterday and it was quite tasty! Recommended!
We decided after last night's episode that Alice ONLY does her job for the money, doesn't give a sh*t what crap the kids eat, and just wants to do the bare minimum to still get paid.
@salthands, I agree, I'm pretty sure she said seven years, not seven months.
Also, he should totally forget about that radio DJ. He's just a cynical jerk with a really bad attitude and a narrow mind.
If I am paying for the obsese people's medical bill with my tax dollars, it is definitely my business how much soda they drink. I am against both of them in principle, but if they are going to socialize health care they NEED to have a soda tax.
@liane.v I agree, getting rid of corn subsidies would solve a lot of these problems naturally....
way ---- IF they have a book for codes. like the code for bringing your own bag. or for celery. etc.
It's a French dish; amande is almond in French.
sarita4 hasn't favorited a post yet.
