Tom Yum Paste
I recently bought a jar of tom yum paste to make a quick soup base (it was fantastic - so quick, so easy).
What else can I use it for? Has anyone else experimented with tom yum paste?
The instructions say to add oil (step 3) but oil isn't listed in the ingredients -- how much and what kind of oil should be added?
I've made this with both chicken and beef - both are fantastic! Great recipe!
Out of curiosity - why don't you bake the cookies cut-side-down? I bet the jam swirl would look beautiful!
Turkey pot pie (made the day after thanksgiving will all the leftovers!)
Entenmann's butter pound cake
My favorite is actually a recipe from this site! The Dijon Tuna Burgers (http://www.seriouseats.com/recipes/2011/03/healthy-delicious-dijon-tuna-burgers-sandwiches-recipe.html) come together in a matter of minutes and are absolutely delicious! The recipe is really forgiving (I've swapped shallots for green onions and used different types of mustard - depending what's in the fridge) and has be come a staple in our house. One tip: use good-quality tuna (Whole Foods, TJ's) and you won't be disappointed!
Is there a specific brand/type of sweet dark soy sauce I should look for?
sriracha-laced black bean, butternut squash and chorizo chili
This looks delicious! I have a piece of haddock in my fridge - do you think it would work well in this recipe?
Phenomenal recipe! It became an instant favorite in our house!
I've made this recipe several times now - using both fresh and frozen seafood - and it always get rave reviews. I usually serve it with radishes and onions for a little extra crunch (personal preference), but the original recipe is fantastic.
Red pepper hummus bread with sesame seeds and garlic! It's delicious on it's own, but it also makes phenomenal sandwiches, croutons, and I've even used it as an impromptu-pizza crust (best pizza ever!)

What's your go-to source for Indian food recipes? Does anyone have a favorite cookbook or blog?
I'm planning to make pot roast this weekend and the recipe calls for searing the beef, adding the remaining ingredients, then baking everything in the oven for 2 1/2 hours on 250. The only pot I have that is large enough is my stainless steel dutch oven. Can I put a stainless steel pot in the oven? Or should I run out to get a cast iron pot?
I need to bring a dish to a potluck this weekend and I'm struggling to find creative ideas! What are your favorite potluck recipes? (Needs to serve 12-15 guests, no pork)
I bought a package of (raw) buffalo chicken sausages the other night, but I'm not sure what to do with them. I've thought about grilling them to serve with mac and cheese, but I was hoping to come up with a more creative idea.
Any thoughts?
Whether you're breaking out the Bisquick or mixing up your own batch of blueberry buttermilks, pancakes are always a crowd pleaser. And said pancake crowd will be even more pleased if you're serving them up a batch of these Coconut Milk Flapjacks from Warren Brown's CakeLove in the Morning. More
This is high summer dessert at its finest: boozy, bawdy peaches with tart berries and a pecan-studded buttery topping, brightened and made perfect by the inclusion of lemon zest and mace. Use firmer, less ripe peaches here so they don't fall apart. The raspberries, on the other hand, will melt in the oven, so use whatever you have (frozen ones work well). More
We make batches of sriracha salt and put it on everything! Sriracha-spiked popcorn is amazing (I've even put it in caramel corn before -- it's out of this world!)
