Beets on a Burger
I'm a kiwi (New Zealander) living in the US, and we have beets (we call them beetroot) on our burgers back home in NZ as well (hell, it's news to me to hear that it is thought of as an 'Aussie' thing).
I love them, seriously ... not to mention normally burgers in NZ will come also come with a fried egg, pineapple, and beetroot (as well as the normal onions, pickles, tomato, and lettuce).
So delicious! I will often purchase a burger to go from one of my local burger places, take it home, and put a fried-egg, pineapple and beetroot on it there.

Wow, a burger with beets, a fried-egg and pineapple?! And it's in America?!
This is pretty much the definition of what we call a 'kiwi' burger back home in New Zealand (I say as an ex-pat NZ'er living in the US) as it's the classic traditional burger of NZ with all those toppings. Unfortunately, I don't live anywhere near this place.
