I, too, had a VERY BLAND burger at the CORNER BISTRO..
and I DID take mine out in that brown PAPER BAG !
The place is so tiny, nowhere hardly to stand, much less sit, so I took it out, and ate it on a nearby sidewalk...

I found the burger VERY mediocre!
And I like your comparison , when you said that one can still tell a supermodel looks like a supermodel even on her worst day!

I f*cking hate Dearborn (where I was born, grew up and fled at the first opportunity) but I do LOVE me some Miller's burgers. Whenever I have the misfortune of being back in "Dogbone," I stop at Miller's at least once and gorge on the demi-god of hamburgers. I have lived in what some (mostly natives) have called the hamburger capital of the world -- Southern California -- for going on twenty years, but none of the burgers out here can compare with a Miller's burger. It is the holy grail of hamburgers, and I have spent my life trying to find a better burger, to no avail. I'll keep searching, of course, but I'm getting more and more certain with each passing year that I'll not find a burger that pleases me like the ones I inhale in that humble little bar in that dying little town.

There's just something a little--no, a lot--creepy about the already creepy king-dude commenting on the butts of the obviously underage dancers near him.

I love Miller's. No man or woman loves Miller's more than I. I have a hard time not ordering two, on a visit. However, it's not raining yet, but there's a cloud over this parade. On last visit, with Wife-enstein, we were waiting, up against the wall, for a table, which puts you in view of the kitchen, and, to my hamburgerial horror, I saw cookie pressing the juice out of the burgers cooking on the griddle with a spatula! I could not believe it. I wanted to shout, "No! Stop!". Now, were my last couple of burgers dry, or, did I superimpose what I just saw onto my memory? I said to the waitress, "I just saw the cook pressing the juice out of the burgers." She said, "It makes them cook faster." I said, "Don't do it to mine." How do we get them to stop this new (I believe it to be new) behavior? Does George call them up and tell them? Anybody else notice this?

Yup that's Michigan for you, no seasonings on anything.

Love my Krups convection toaster oven; use it 3 x day, so it's a workhorse. Convection feature is fantastic, and the toast function is actually pretty decent for a toaster oven (though you do have to flip the bread mid-cycle). If you buy it at Amazon or Bed Bath & Beyond, they both have really good return policies in case you don't love it.

These make me absurdly happy.
