Seoul. Wish I could take the spice!

There are lots of non-spicy and cold dishes in the summertime - would focus on these. Seconding ec_washington's suggestion for mul naengmyun (cold chewy noodles in clear broth). Or also kong gook soo (noodles in cold soy bean soup).

Poll: Kids In High-End Restaurants: Way or No Way?

As others are noting, the variability in the types of parents, children and parenting styles precludes the ability to absolutely say "Yes" that children should be allowed in fine dining establishments. Some parents handle their children well, some children behave well, some parents/children do not, period.

What's the best cheap mexican restaurant in Manhattan?

I may catch some heat for this, but I like Lupe's on 6th Ave and Watts a lot. It's pretty bare bones Mexican, but from what I've heard, fairly authentic. Super cheap too - but cash only.

@engmcmuffin - the cinnamon/ginger/persimmon punch you are referring to is called soo jung gwah - traditional korean dessert and palate cleanser. I found a recipe here:
