My recipe is virtually the same. Sometimes, I'll thrown some homemade avocado or carrot oil depending on the dish, but time after time, my wife and friends decline to try it and instead go for the trusty Helman's ( olive oil variety ). I'm dumbfounded. can we get some justice up in this piece? A PR campaign maybe?

Home Ec was required when I went through the Minneapolis Public Schools. We made macaroni & cheese (kraft), scrambled eggs, and chocolate chip cookies. If I remember correctly, most of the class dealt with reproductive health and snickering was in high supply.

We actually had our required Home Ec in grades 6 & 7, and the second year was sewing and reproductive health. I don't think anyone liked sewing.

Slice Poll: Have You Ever Done Grilled Pizza?

I've had some results better than others, primarily because of the whole flipping and then hoping that the toppings get enough heat before the bottom of the crust gets too burnt. Needless to say, I'm considering building an outdoor pizza oven and then relegating the weber for the more usual purposes.

I have to say that last weekend I grilled an excellent pizza that had olive oil, marjoram, fontina, and soppressata.

The Peanut Butter and Bacon Burger at Shake Shack on the Upper West Side

Grumpy's in Minneapolis more or less does this with better results. The burger has peanut butter, but then the bacon has some sort of touch of jalapeno. It then gets pepper jack cheese. I love it for the audacity of it all, but in MPLS-STPL, I usually find the menu at the Nook to be better.

Oh, and the only saving grace about Pepsi (besides their 'throwback' line) is that Industrial Light and Magic based the blue paint on R2-D2 from the blue on the Pepsi can. Other than that, pepsi is dead to me.

Man, I have to weigh in. The most memorable Thanksgiving of my life included a dinner of an excellent flank steak, guacamole, and beer. Instead of pie, there was a certain herbal you-know-what. Alicia Silverstone Concerned About Cruelty To Eggs

What can you do to be cruel to an egg and not break the shell? Shout insults at it?

I understand she means how the chickens are manipulated to produce more eggs. Come one though, she probably makes enough royalties from Clueless(sort of ironic?) to justify buying eggs from a source other than factory farms.
