My Jewish friend in HS would have me over for dinner during Hannukah. He Dad would spend all day making traditional meats. Tried foods I never would have without knowing him. Really started me on my wanting to try out of the ordinary and cultural foods.

As always, mom's chocolate chip cookies and peanut butter cookies. Last year she finally nailed how Grandma made them. It was the best Christmas present ever. The smell always takes us back. It's close to the Toll House recipe, but the extra love makes them special. Happy Holidays!
