Valentine's Day Giveaway: Peanut Butter & Co. Chocolate Hearts

about 20 yrs. ago i was on a business trip to italy, after the business was finished, my partner and i drove from milan up lake lugano to switzerland, on the other side of the border there was a small swiss town on the lake. we walked into town and we stopped at this very small chocolate shop, not much bigger than a closet. the choclates were very small and beautiful, we asked the shopkeeper for what was an american pound. he packed the box with all the different chocolates. he said the price was $125. american. now mind you this was almost 20 years ago, anyway we were americans that closed a business deal in italy and we had lots of money. we walked to the lake sat down and opened the box, i grew up in new york and i thought i new everything about choclate. we each tried one of the small pieces and put it in our mouths, we looked at each other and said this chocolate in unbelievable, and a pound of chocolate later we did not believe the stuff we had eaten all our lives was from the same planet. ps before we left town to drive back to milan, we each bought two pounds for our families, they never made it back to california
