Young foodie living in the windy city
If you venture to Lincoln Park, Toro Sushi is one of my favorites in the city.
I've always wanted to go to The Barrelhouse Flat
-A bad bun that ruins a perfectly good burger
If you are going to be in Chicago, You must try a Chicago style hot dog and an Italian beef.I suggest Portillo's for both.
In addition deep dish pizza is another Chicago specialty
Portillos for a Italian beef
I was just going to add, especially in Chicago the public transit will get you anywhere for $2.25 each way. Worth finding something you want and just going there rather then confining yourself to that specific area.
We Just ordered From Chicago's. its like 3100 lincoln and the thin crust was delicious
Depending on what kind of food you want: I would recommend Bull el Dia. It is a tapas place in Lakeview. Otherwise check out the where to eat Lakeview guide under Chicago on SE
Rolled up inside of a ribeye on the grill!
Thanks for all of the suggestions. I am going to have to try all of these. What I have tried so far were a few of the mission wheat ones as well as the Jewel brand. TJ's sounds like a good starting point as well as trying all of the regional stuff.
Portillos is a great choice and you can get a meal for under $10 dollars. I really like their italian beef with an order of fries. Order it wet with hot giardiniera.
Chicken with a chimichurri sauce, roasted potatoes, and spicy lemon pepper broccoli
