Not Buffalo Wings but Hot Sticks (bread)

there is an amazing pizza place in Tucson that serves Hot Sticks, they are basically buffalo wing flavored bread sticks, twisted with buffalo flavorings wrapped in but it's almost more of a rub type, maybe part rub part sauce? I have searched for a buffalo rub recipe to try to make something like this at home to no avail... any suggestions or recipes would be welcomed! :)
