My mom makes pot roast in the crock pot with onions and carrots, huge buttery yeast rolls and then mashed potatoes on the stove. We always like to pour tons of gravy over the pot roast made from the drippings, and my sister and I love dipping the roast in a little bit of A1 steak sauce (weird, I know) and it irritates my mother to no end, God love her.

Usually my dinners are pretty boring and sad affairs, even though I run a food blog. I save my time and money to make elaborate things for my website, so an average weeknight dinner for me is a wedge salad with blue cheese dressing, breakfast tacos, simple pasta with goat cheese, etc. All easy things with little cleanup.
