Louisiana Spotlight: Raising Cane's and New Orleans Original Daiquiris

(b) "Open alcoholic beverage container" shall not mean any bottle, can, or other receptacle that contains a frozen alcoholic beverage unless the lid is removed, a straw protrudes therefrom, or the contents of the receptacle have been partially removed.

As long as you don't put the straw in, you're good to go. Once you put the straw in or drink some of it, then its an open container.

My favorite cold cereal is _____

Back when I was a kid 'CW Post'. They stopped making it about 2 decades ago. Nothing in cereal interests me as I still want my CW POST back!

(I may have to try this 'Just Bunches' stuff, its supposed to be the closest thing available)

Dole Whip

I am in love with the Dole Whip's at Disneyworld. I could eat there every meal (well except for the ones I'm at Coral Reef and the Canadian steak house).

Serious Sandwiches: Chick-Fil-A's Chick-n-Minis

Love Chick Fil A. Big S Truett Cathy fan. But their morning biscuits leave something to be desired. The ones I usually get are too dry, asked for butter once and was told that they are "already buttered". That may be, but they sure as heck need more and I don't care for jelly on my biscuits (unless its Mayhaw and CFA isn't near southern enough for that).

Michelin, Yelp, Zagat: Who Can We Believe?

alkatraz - what would you like to see different in Kitchen Nightmares? Gordon goes in, finds whats wrong with a restaurant, usually simplifies the menu and cleans the joint up, and the place seems to run better after he's done. Only big difference I can see is that the end of the UK version has him checking back p on the place after awhile.

Road food between New Orleans and Baton Rouge

Outside of Baton Rouge, not quite between the 2 is Joe's Dreyfus General Store in Livonia. Joe's moved on, haven't been there since he left, but I doubt the new owners would have done anything to ruin the place.

Ideas for ground pork?

Natchitoches Meat Pies. I'll be cooking a few come this weekend.

Much like ever culture has a flat bread of some sort, they also all have a meat pie. I highly recommend the ones from Lasyone's if you're down that way, but otherwise theres a few good recipes on the net.

UK Farmers' Markets Sell Supermarket Foods?

I always wonder when at the farmers market about how much interaction the sellers have with actually growing what they're selling and also about how close to being organic they are (can't claim it without being certified which apparently == $$$).
