They are seriously amazing. They feel great -- hard, slick, ultra-strong and ultra-clear. They say "1 PETE" on the bottom, which I googled and seems like is good for food storage. I just love that I can make really high stacks that don't topple. I have 80 spices in only 10 interlocked stacks! I have so much more room now, and can easily find and grab what I need. No more knocking over spices while reaching to the back of those little tiered shelves. Ugh, that was the bane of my existence.
My spice cabinet is my pride and joy -- if only I could figure out how to post a picture here! After many trials and tribulations, I finally stumbled upon Lock Ups. I got mine at the Container Store, but here is a link to them at Crate & Barrel. They are dishwasher safe, and they twist together (bases lock into lids) to form whatever size stacks you need. I have experimented stacking by cuisine, as you do, but after disagreements over where certain spices belong, my husband and I have switched to alphabetical. This is the only way I have found to store 80 different spices so functionally. And the containers are small enough to fill at bulk bins and actually use before they go bad.
