What Kitchen Items Would You List on a Bridal Registry?

not sure if anyone else has mentioned this, but register for individual pots/pans instead of a set. People are more inclined to buy one pot (instead of a set), and then you can take them all back and have more than enough to buy the more economical set (and maybe some extras). And I love my All Clads!

too many to mention -- the pasta starter at acqua al due in firenze, and the grappa that followed the meal; or the vikingesque boar chops at la club chasse et peche in montreal, followed by the jura wines with cheese; or my wedding cake from zingerman's, which the cake ladies diligently drove 300 miles north to deliver; or the amazing dinner cooked by local nubians on a felluca on the nile in egypt . . . .

Cocktails and Spirits with Paul Clarke: Women and Whiskey

I am a woman and I love whiskey. My loyalties lie with scotch. Several years ago I ventured into Scotch with Laphroaig, and I haven't looked back. I love Scotch generally, but I *really* love those salty, iodiney, seaweedy, peaty, smokey malts. I dabble in bourbons (Michter's in among the faves), and recently moved into rye (love Tuthilltown's Hudson Rye).
