It's amazing what you can find at the market. Last week I found a little piece of my region's history. Someone was selling whole wheat flour made from an heirloom variety that was until recently all but extinct. It was a neat experince talking to the vendor about how the crop is being revived. What to cook when you are exhausted?
It may not be the most healthy, but when I am really tired and don't feel like cooking we have breakfast for dinner. I make buttermilk pancakes for my girls with lots of fresh berries or cut up fruit on the side and they love it. It's a great treat for them and it's a quick meal for me. I have a great recipe that I use so much I have it memorized. The recipe can be found at:
