Utter deliciousness in the form of crumbed squid, scallops, fish, and those decadent fat chips.
There's little else more powerful than a combination of garlic, butter, zucchini and pasta! Delicious and wonderfully light to have, quick and easy to impress.
A crunchy ingenious take on the traditional fried chicken, this is one not to be missed!
This one's so special, I want to wrap it up like a burrito and cuddle with it. I love the freshness of the pico de gallo juxtaposed with the sherry-soaked, spiced kissed grilled chicken on warm tortilla. Beautiful.
I remember eating a lot of this when I was a child, and not in a good way too. It was the salad that nobody else liked, but voila, how things change. This is dressed up in my favourite grainy mustard and tossed to perfection.
There are a whole bunch of ways to do this, and there's no perfect way to do it, but have you ever tried this. Hah! A perfect marination of dijon and mayo and breadcrumb-tossed fried chicken poppers.
Egg salad has many versions, and for a while after, curried egg salad. This one's got my favourite ingredients tossed together - egg, chicken, curry, mustard. Yay!
A fiery simple treat that's probably not for everyone, but it was awesome. Who knew chilli oil and cream went so well on the tastebuds?
This is one of my favourite dishes, a wonderful burst of sweet and spicy. Corn fritters are my favourite to make for their ease and endless snacking fun, but I tried to make one as a pancake, and it was wonderful too!
This was the most beautiful dish of the day I remember - hash and potatoes with a sour dough bread and poached egg, something I'd love to have again any time.
Actually, it is, but not the way I've ever had it before. It's sprinkled lightly with a sort of spicy grape powder (I think), and over a bed of heavenly basmati rice, found in Christchurch. Yeah. New Zealand.
Did I eat my way through New Zealand or what! Very much so, and this was one of my favourites. Breakfast in Auckland at the cafe where the Dominion office is. Simple and hearty!
Good things come in bite size pieces. But that's what I tell my mom before refusing to cut tofu into less mammoth pieces. That being said! This is a fiery to be reckoned with - garlic and wasabi and a whole lotta POW.
This is one of the better, or best burgers I've ever eaten. It's got all the shebangs - mushrooms, bacon, juicy patty. Gobsmacking. Found at the one and only Velvet Burger
