I was surprised you guys didn't include Grass Jelly Drink. That was always a favorite of mine.

I flew Cathay Pacific to Beijing a few years back and the food wasn't too bad. They had two menus a "American" styled menu, that offered the typical fair. Then they had an "Chinese Menu" which was much better. Especially the congee which seemed like a perfect item to prepare in an airplane kitchen.

Really?!?! Was that statement based on some type of survey? Los Angeles has many great sandwich shops, Langer's, Larchmont Village, Philippe and Euro Pane, just to name a few of the more popular ones.

I love the Godmother and suggested to Serious Eats that they should include it in their "A Sandwich a Day" feature. But I don't think bashing Los Angeles sandwich scene was necessary to highlight one particular item.

Breakfast is my favorite meal....so this is a very difficult question. Lox and Bagels are up at the top of list...but so is Eggs Benedict, Biscuits and Gravy, Belgian Waffles with Bacon, Dim Sum, Migas...I can go on forever.
