New York Times had Donut Pudding printed a few weeks ago. Made it twice and pased it around to friends. Made more raspberry jelly for the second batch and doubled the # of donuts for a really large pan. If you decide to make some kind of donut thing, don't use Dunkin Donuts. They don't have enough jelly in them unless you are driving and eating a donut with the other hand. You can order big ones from the Stop & Shop. Frozen dough, sure but they hold a lot of jelly and when you add cream, eggs and sugar. Yum.

Anthony Bourdain has children? That's got to be a mistake on somebody's part.

I didn't know what to make of Bourdain until I saw his show No Reservations (Beirut Episode). They were stuck in Beirut with some type of conflict going on around them and it was very scary/intense to say the least. After seeing this vulnerable side of him, he made a fan out of me. Sure he can still be arrogant at times but I'm sure we've met worse in our day to day lives.

And Tony will just melt and go along with it. "Say, these frozen tofu nuggets aren't half bad!"

Or even funnier - "Daaaad you know I am a vegan!"

My 4 year old is pretty adventurous (raw fish, lamb, curries, etc.), but there are still those days when she really wants boxed mac and cheese or those dreaded mcnuggets (for which i can 'thank' a relative for introducing her to). I think it's inevitable when they hit school age to want that kind of stuff. I remember seeing Mario Batali talk to someone (Maybe Gwyneth on the Spain show?) about his kids only wanting hot dogs at a certain age. It's awful for folks who like their food, but it happens (and it sucks)! :)

Oh, my that's some adventurous foodie baby food!

I would much rather hear what Batali has to say - if he could get a word in edgewise.
