But please... this just makes our industry look stupid.

Remember the old marketing adage that there is no such thing as a bad idea. They used to laugh at Walt Disney for being the kid who sat in the corner drawing pictures!

We took your comments to heart at the PJ Ohio franchise and have begun promoting this special as 3 Medium Specialty or up to 5 Topping pizzas. We originally used Unlimted up to 5 and are sorry that it was viewed negatively. Our reason for limiting toppings is that once you get a high number of toppings the product no longer cooks properly and falls apart under the weight. We were trying to keep up the quality and now see that the wording is misleading. Sorry from PJ Ohio. :-)
Yep, they lost us as customers several years ago when they first moved into our neighborhood because of this, there was a special they were promoting with "unlimited toppings" and proceeded to tell us there was the max of 5 toppings......what bull**** We've never dealt with them since.
GARBAGE PRODUCT. I go to local Mama and Poppa pizzeria. Not this stock holder crap!!!!
Papa John's is an alternate world anyway.
Why should we expect "unlimited" to mean the same thing there as here?

That is awesome! As a food stylist that has been asked to do the unspeakable with food on an almost daily basis, I am impressed.
