Sausages (Brats, Chorizo, Linguica, you name it!), with onions and peppers... corn on the cob, maybe some pineapple.
Which Northern Virginia mini-chain are you referring to? I'm in Reston, and generally go with either Flippin' Pizza, Paisano's, or Ledo... Just wondering if there's something we're missing!
My fave lunch as of late: cooked medium pasta shells, white albacore tuna (the kind in the packet), and cinnamon applesauce. You'd never think it worked, but somehow it does.
I also like spaghetti-o's, but I'll layer them in a bowl with a slice of American cheese. Let it sit for a few seconds to allow the hot spaghetti to melt the cheese, then give it a stir. Yum.
We're co-hosting a party with some friends... Should be about 20 people if everyone who says they're coming, does. Cooking the traditional burgers and dogs, with greens and tomatoes straight from their garden. Making some Memphis-style ribs, and two batches of chicken - one with a Jerk seasoning, the other with a homemade spicy-lime-cilantro marinade. Plenty of other nibbles, and dessert too!
