The hot oil wontons at excellent pork chop house. Thin-skinned, fresh as anything and incredibly tasty.
French Dip Sandwich in NYC?
I'm a sucker for the french dip at Houston's. Sure it's a chain, but it's really tasty.

Impromptu Taste Test: The Cult of Yakult
I haven't tried these in years, but the first time I tasted a morir sonando (a Dominican drink made with fresh squeezed orange juice, milk and sugar), it reminded me of these, but in a much fresher and yummier way.
Napa Cabbage ideas?
Ellie Krieger makes a healthy and surprisingly tasty chop suey with napa. Other than that, I usually make kimchi with mine.
Best of Trader Joe ?
We like their Thai shrimp gyozas and their chicken chile-lime burgers from the freezer section. Oh, and their mandarin orange chicken makes a tasty, quick meal. The orange muscat champagne vinegar is always in our fridge; it mixes into a nice salad dressing for greens or cold noodle salads.

Dominican Housemade Empanadas. For every family gathering that I can recall, my grandma, an aunt, both my parents and anyone else who was told to show up; would split the prepping duties during the day and reunite late afternoon as a human assembly line to fill, moistened, fold, kneed, fry and dry the empanadas. BEST part was me getting the left over empanada discs to fill with any crazy topping I can find before the frying person got tired. Favorite topping of all: A lot of Cheese.
chai tea?
I've tried this recipe because it's meant to taste just like Oregon Chai. And, it does! http://www.chai-tea.org/rec/rec110.html
Sticky Spaghetti Noodles
If you don't want to sauce them right away (sometimes I don't time things correctly and my noodles are done too early), toss with olive oil.
Cook the Book: ''Wichcraft'
grilled pork belly marinated in sesame oil and garlic, pickled daikon and lettuce
Cook the Book: 'On the Line'
Halibut marinated in some rice wine with some scallions and herbs.
Favorite Cheap Homemade Meal?
Channa masala is very flavorful and cheap to make since the main ingredient is a can of chickpeas. Serve with rice and throw a fried egg on top. Another cheap meal is soba noodle soup. I use instant udon broth (or make my own) and throw an egg or two in to poach in the liquid. Pour over cooked soba noodles, top with minced green onions and stir-fried zucchini (stir-fried with oil, salt, pepper, sesame seeds and red pepper flakes until just cooked). Light, but filling.

Food Ennui: What to do with leftover Pernil?
If you get some empanada dough (if you don't feel like making your own), you can stuff it in with some cheese and make some quick empanadas.
