One night in DC for work...where to eat?

I will be there next week, and we will be mostly spending our time around dupont circle/downtown area and will be using the Metro.

Some of my favorite meals lately have been creative pantry meals. Recently made some tacos with masa flour that needed to be used up, black beans, roasted root vegetables and feta (a decent cotija sub in a pinch!)

One night in DC for work...where to eat?

A coworker and I are heading into DC for all of 24 hours for a few meetings, so naturally, we are carefully planning all of our meals.

It's been about 10 years since I last went to the city. She used to go down for a weekend once a month for two years, but was on a very limited income and rarely ate out.

If we were to have one fantastic, but not to expensive dinner (maybe around $30 person with drinks), where should we go? One caveat, it should have some vegetarian offerings.
