Toxoplasma in oysters???!!! I work with oysters and have never heard of toxoplasma so I had to look it up. Turns out it is associated with warm blooded animals, mostly cats. Did Jane Brody say you could get toxoplasma from oysters? That one needs to be nipped.

What could be a better food for a developing fetus than an oyster, provided it is from cold, clean water, irregardless of AMA advice to the contrary. Oysters contain a whole panoply of minerals, vitamins and amino acids. They are especially high in zinc. What could be better? Meg Hourihan's child will do well on its diet of Wellfleets.

Pecan pie, without a doubt. And last Thanksgiving my mother made an excellent variation, pecan-pumpkin, that I think is a new tradition.
