I have been seeing this man for a few months and throughout this period, he keeps insisting I cook for him but I've turned him down every time, only because I don't cook and am very bad at cooking.

His birthday is coming in December and I thought I would surprise him by making dinner.

Considering cooking is very foreign to me, I was wondering if you could share some simple recipes for me to try out and practice making.

I understand knowing what he likes is important, but I want to make something different.
