I enjoy making indian vegetarian meals and my favorite dish of the moment is the chole from Manjula's Kitchen because of the addition of chickpea flour in the sauce. I always add some raita on the side.

Cook the Book: 'Sweety Pies'

My favorite pie is definitely rhubarb, sans strawberries, with huckleberry at a close second. Right before my second attempt to pass an oral exam that would determine whether or not I would graduate from college, my boyfriend baked me a rhubarb pie for good luck. I normally dislike crumb toppings, but this was so special and delicious. My second most memorable pie is probably apple with melted cheddar cheese that my parents and I would savor during autumn trips to Oak Glen, CA.

I am currently obsessed with soup noodles of all types and from all countries like pho tai, miso ramen, laksa lemak, and Thai kway tiaw, especially boat noodles and ba mii. I am also obsessed with congee of all styles. Still, I think my favorite noodle dish is pad woon sen or maybe a hot fresh plate of beef chow fun.
