Poll: Do You Drink At Brunch?

All you can drink brunch deals CAN have quite nice drinks. We had brunch in Hong Kong at Tiffin Lounge, and the unlimited booze was Moët & Chandon Rosé Champagne.

Otherwise, a Champagne cocktail or a Bloody Mary go a long way to make brunch a happy meal for me. :)

36 Hours in New Orleans: Where to Eat

@shorty40- Glad to see someone mention Green Goddess. We were there in January. We went for brunch and enjoyed it so much that we went back again the following day to try more of the menu. The boudin patties with sweet potato biscuits and pepper jelly were delicious! Nice cocktails too. :)

Video: A Tribute to Superman Ice Cream

I remember eating this at birthday parties as child growing up in the States, and I was surprised to see it in Australia, called Rainbow Reef. . .still tasted like vanilla. :)

What Does Your Fridge Say About You?

I can relate to a few of these. I'm totally OCD as well. All of the labels must face forward, and it's both squeaky clean and arranged by genre, but as for contents: loads of mustards, giving the impression that we're freakishly organised and survive entirely on condiments.

If I'm feeling healthy (or guilty about what I've consumed recently), I have an apple. Otherwise, olives and cheese and a big glass of wine or a martini, helps me focus on cooking dinner. :)

I keep all flours, oats, rice, etc. . . in the freezer these days, even before they're open. Haven't had a problem since. :)

what food do you miss from childhood ?

Sometimes I really miss processed foods, things that it wouldn't even occur to me to buy as an adult, like: Spaghetti O's, Hawaiian Punch, Corn Pops, Zotts and Sprees.

McDonald's. . . and I only ever eat it if I have a really bad hangover, which leads us straight back to alcohol. :)

What do you miss? (to: expats and others!)

I'm an American currently living in Australia (going on three years now) after three years in the UK. We are blessed with an abundance of wonderful food here, but I still miss American bbq sauce & wing sauce, bbq ribs, graham crackers for making cheesecake bases, Mexican food, Crisco. . .

From the UK I miss Lyle's golden syrup, and that's probably about all. Though my husband would add brown sauce, bovril, haggis, irn bru & deep fried black pudding to that list.
