Fewer Waiters Going Penless These Days

Every time I go to a restaurant I am putting my life into the wait persons hands. (allergies), so I don't care if they write it down, just as long as they get it right. I can't always tell if them correct item is held out of my order, so they need to know.

Also, the person serving the dishes should know who ordered what, holding the customer responsible for knowing the weird names places give to their dishes is ridiculous.

Make him either bring his own food or make his own food. Why should you be put out because of a voluntary dietary restriction on his part?

100 Rules for Restaurant Staffers

In addition to writing down my order, remember who ordered what. I don't remember the stupid name you gave my dish and don't expect me to. I don't have the menu anymore to remind me what it is, either.

Taste Test: Cheap But Good Olive Oils

You mention a weird little new york market brand but ignore the Costco Olive Oils. I am surprised. They have a nice litre bottle version that is about $12 that tastes great.

How to Cope with CSA Stress

Here I was hoping for how to deal with not getting enough from your CSA. You see them offering all sorts of stuff for sale at the farmer's market, like nice and big tomatoes and you get a box of cherry tomatoes in your share. I mean really, the two do not compare at all.

The Coffee Wars Continue

I had plenty of McCafe in Australia, where the offer Soy as a milk option. None of the US stores I have visited have Soy. Being allergic to cows milk, my decision has been made by Maccas and Dunkin that I will be going to Starbucks when I get chain store coffee. All of the local places I frequent also offer soy as an option.
