i live in the capital district of New York (Albany-Troy) and many of our subs shops make Cheeseburger Subs daily....we have a couple that claim to be the "Home of the Cheeseburger Sub"

Basically the same thing you see above but they make the burger patties rectangular to fit perfectly on the sub roll...classic is served with russian dressing....so good....

I wasn't sure if this is common in other areas...but this isn't new around here...

Manchester, Connecticut: A Flawed But Classic Baby Boom Burger from Shady Glen

i love this place...

it may be all about the cheese there...but wow...
you can order a plate of cheese (just four slices of cheese griddled to perfection) which i once did, and then placed it on my cheeseburger...

that's right 8 slices of griddled cheese on a burger...it was awesome...
just thinking about it makes me want one...

i realize this is a burger blog but shady glen isn't about the burgers....it is about the cheese...that's why you can get...a CHEESEFURTER or...just a plate of FRIED CHEESE...!!!

ratbuddy...the hamburger is just a vessel to transport that one of a kind fried dairy product into your mouth....dont let the burger's ego fool you....

Do You Put Ranch Dressing on Pizza?

i'm from upstate NY and its fairly common at some of the thicker pan pizza type places (and not just chains)
we have a ton of thick crust pan pizza joints and there's something about the ranch and greasy pan pizza that goes very well together

if it's thin crust NY style, then it usually doesn't need it and doesn't even taste that good with it

this whole topic reminds me of the marinara vs. jelly for dipping mozzarella sticks!!

i was at this bar called the Vortex in Atlanta, GA...and they had this burger on the menu...unreal......they served it tators tots...awesome
