Tried the burger last night and was a big fan. The burger does indeed fit the bun perfectly. Ordered the cheeseburger sans fries and instead opted for a raspberry blintz and a potato pancake. Thought the burger was cooked really well (perfectly, not well done) and the sides came out great too. I can see myself heading back sometime soon. Thanks for the review!

Has anyone ever tried a cheeseburger at one of Jimmy Buffett's restaurants? Pretty mediocre for a guy who practically built a chain restaurant empire on the perfect cheeseburger.

bobbob, you get pierogis at a Polish restaurant. At a Ukrainian one, you get pirohi, and I wish I had a pile of either right now. I'd better get the stand mixer out.

@gshaefer -- Haha... I totally understand your reaction.
When I first got here to SE, I too was a little shocked at just how rare some of these guys like their burgers, but the bloody redness is not as scary to me anymore, after seeing so many pics of similarly cooked meat patties.
I admit, it's not my cup of tea. Even when eating at a regular sit-down restaurant (where you order meat cooked however you like, unlike most fast food) I tend to go with 'medium'. It's still pretty juicy, but more cooked all the way thru, which is how I prefer it, and how I grew up eating family burgers cooked on the grill.

@Adam - You're right, I was thinking more of the emoish latter-day riot "grrls" using yr than the average teen. I think this thread is blending together with the douchey Denny's thread for me and I'm getting my peeves mixed up.

@worldcupfever: I will defend Josh's use of "yr." I think the 15-year-old girls of today use "UR" instead, so it is now back within the realm of aging indie-rock fans. As that description fits me somewhat, I am prone to using "yr" as well.

haha, "no rabbit food." they do give you a generous serving of bacon if you go with the bacon cheeseburger though.
gotta say, i'm starting to see the light and prefer to try burgers without rabbit food now too. so thanks for steering me in the right direction Nick!

I love simple foods like this. Last night I broiled green beans in the oven with tons of fresh thyme and caramelized onions, and it was just simply good. Delicious food doesn't have to be complicated.

nice review nick, however did not i just see a video with a bearded man I think it was Jozersky mr. cutlets with Gail (TOP CHEF) in the restaurant reviewing the burger????? It looks ok but no way it's one of the best not even close!!!
