There's so much room for debate here. I can't believe that Butter Lane did not make your top twelve. Their French buttercream is great. And Amy's should not get a high rating just for sheer nostalgia. Re: robicellis, Tell me how a cupcake can be both hard and spongey? Spongey usually connotes moistness. Re Kumquat: it's a mini cupcake- any more frosting the cupcake would topple over. Anyway, thanks for doing all the research.
