I learned from my Dad. He also gave me the confidence to experiment so I could learn more on my own.
Steel cut oats! I just set the crock pot to cook a batch for the morning before I read this :-)
lightly blanched fava beans with a few chunks of smoked provolone, fresh tomato, some white wine vinegar and a little bit of salt
Fava beans in the summer!
And when I am sick, like now, I make a soup with veggie broth, orzo, spinach, red pepper, diced tomato, onions, garlic, and a lot of fresh lemon juice.
