My (Sort Of) First Taste of White Castle's Burgers
It's definitely the nostalgia factor for me -- I grew up in NYC and was always excited as a kid when a visit to relatives in Queens would bring me near a White Castle. I try to eat there whenever I can (usually once every 3-5 years, so no chance of growing tired of it.) Odd that I can love both White Castle and the Craigie on Main burger... talk about cognitive dissonance!
Serious Heat: Homemade Kimchee
Even with doubling the sriracha, 1 Tbsp can't be enough, can it?
Win Tickets to the Hot Dog Hootenanny
speeds dog in Boston -- class of its own.

Cook the Book: 'The Pioneer Woman Cooks'
I love PWC (the first recipe of hers that I made was a sweet potato dish for a Thanksgiving potluck last year that got rave reviews; I've been hooked ever since.) SE, The Paupered Chef, Smitten Kitchen, and Bitten are also on my daily rotation.

Cook the Book: Smoked Ham with Avocado and Butter
I'm so happy to hear of other folks who had an aversion to alfalfa sprouts -- I completely agree. They have some kind of "cleanser"-type of smell to my nose. Overcooked mung bean sprouts do that to me too, but I've figured out in the last few years that if they are on the raw side they are just fine.
Cook the Book: ''Wichcraft'
A twist on a banh mi -- something with pork, cilantro, spicy mayo, but with a 'wichcraft high-end twist...
Seriously Delicious Holiday Giveaway: D'Artagnan Boneless Heritage Ham
I'll second spicy deli mustard and swiss.
Seriously Delicious Holiday Giveaway: Southside Market Sausage
Blue Ribbon BBQ in Arlington MA
Seriously Delicious Holiday Giveaway: Zingerman's Praise the Lard Gift Box
perfect crispy bacon with a side of over easy eggs and homefries...
Cook the Book: Jamie at Home
something braised -- if I have to pick one -- short ribs braised in red wine.
Seriously Delicious Holiday Giveaway: Two Peter Luger Steaks
Ribeye, medium rare please.
Seriously Delicious Holiday Giveaway: Zingerman's Praise the Lard Gift Box
long-braised chinese style pork roast
Seriously Delicious Holiday Giveaway: Southside Market Sausage
Blue Ribbon BBQ in Arlington MA (also West Newton MA). In addition to having excellent (for the Northeast) real BBQ (IMHO better than Redbones), you can't beat the Feedbag for 4 takeout combo for value and deliciousness.
Best Pizza in Boston?
I vote for Armando's, on Huron Ave in Cambridge. New York-style, old fashioned neighborhood joint that reminds me of the pizza places I grew up with on Staten Island. I love Emma's too, but a different kind of place...
Win a Free Organic D'Artagnan Turkey Here!
I second the green onion biscuits -- I'm a sucker for all things green onion...
Cook the Book: 'Second Helpings of Roast Chicken'
Chile paste/hot sauce appears in most things I make, though I have so many varieties in my fridge that I'm not sure it really counts as one ingredient (sirracha, four brands of chinese chile paste of various heat intensity, jalapeno sauce, etc.)
I love to use fresh herbs, especially cilantro and dill, but invariably do not finish the bunch before it goes bad.
Flatbread Company: 'Wonderfully Wonderful'
Flatbread is actually a local New England chain -- I've been to the ones in North Conway NH and Bedford MA, and agree it's pretty yummy. http://www.flatbreadcompany.com.
Do Not Want: Dunkin' Donuts Egg White Flatbread Breakfast Sandwiches
I'm obsessed with breakfast sandwiches, and thought the new DD egg white one was pretty good -- and only 6g of fat, plus some small amount of veggies to boot. My impression may have been tainted by the fact that I had a Panera egg souffle thing the day before; I checked when I got to the office, and that thing had 32g of fat; yeesh!
Tying back to the other home page thread, the egg sandwiches at flour bakery are awesome, and worth every calorie!
