Serious Eats' Halal Cart-Style Chicken and Rice with White Sauce 

Made this for dinner last night and it was DELICIOUS! I let the chicken marinade overnight, which I think made a big difference. The seasoning in the rice was wonderful, but my favorite part of the entire dinner was the white sauce. I will be making more of it just to eat with pita bread, as a dipping sauce. Thanks so much for the awesome recipe!

Provençal Turkey Roast with Riesling. I love traditional mashed potatoes with garlic, but the Mark Bittman's Potato Gratin sounds good (the Gruyère got me)...might have to try that this year, along with the pecan cornbread stuffing. I'd have to go with just regular homemade buns (they're great for sopping up gravy) and a couple desserts...first being the pumpkin pie brulee, then pecan pie. YUM!

oh...the other one I loved having was deer meat. When my dad would go hunting, and actually get a deer, we'd have fresh meat pan fried with onions, and a salad on the side. Not everyone liked, it (there were 6 of us kids) so my mom always had something else available, but the taste was so good.

hmm...I would have to say chicken and rice. My mom called it Chicken Ala King...and it was delicious. The rice was the best part, but it was so good because the chicken flavor infused into it while it was cooking.
