Food Words for Thought: 'Locavore' as 2007's Word of the Year
As a family physician and mother of three boys, I see the local foods movement as very exciting!! It is high time we all start to support growers of healthy food, that we learn to cook it and incorporate it into our daily lives. However, I also see that it is an all-encompassing change for those of us who have relied on chicken nuggets and box mac and cheese. I'm slowly reforming my family's habits and hoping to be of some use to others trying to do the same at www.ecoyear.net.
