One nobody on here's heard of I'm sure, Margret's Cafe and Catering, in Parkland, WA. Great soups, sandwiches, and all around homemade delicious food, with the added bonus of excellent customer service and the best prices around.

My dutch ovens and wok for cooking anything I can think of.

What's your favorite food when drunk?

For a few years it was Mac&Cheese, or Ramen. But anything with grease and some carbs. Denny's omletes are great, and potatoes any style, also agree with the fried rice and chow mein or lo-mein.

When Is It Socially Acceptable to Share Food?

I'm a sharer. With family and some friends I will share any of mine and try any of theirs, often finishing the left over bits or cleaning up other peoples plates. Sometimes I steal food from others without asking, but knowing that those people won't mind. Sharing goes beyond food, and extends to utensils in my family, I know its not for everyone, but it works out great for us.

Cook the Book: '660 Curries' by Raghavan Iyer

My first real Indian food experience occurred while I was studying abroad in China, a classmate of mine insisted on cooking an amazing rice and curry dish. I can't wait to learn better ways to prepare Indian food, as it is delicious!

How many times a day do you eat?

I only eat when I'm hungry, for been doing this for about a year and have lost 40 pounds. Generally this means 2 meals a day, and occasional snacks (snacks are fruits and veggies), and always a dinner as one of the meals. It helps me to eat with family, I get to cook and enjoy, it slows my eating and makes me eat more healthily. When I cook it also means more veggies and fruits, fewer meats. If I stray from this pattern I get lethargic and can't make myself eat until I'm hungry again. It may seem strange but it works. I also don't drink anything artificially sweetened, and drink about 3 gallons of water a day (honestly, I have 4 nalgene bottles and fill them all/drink/refill).
I used to eat whenever I wanted, or when I was bored, and when food was present I would keep eating. To curb this I started drinking (water) I chug a quart 10 minutes before I eat, and have another as I eat or when I'm finished.

Cook the Book: 'Modern Spice'

Topping my list of things to learn would be authentic Chinese, especially Sichuan cuisine, local spices like "flower pepper" are amazing. I'd love to make any of their famous dishes like Ma Po Dofu, Yu Xiang Qiezi, or some simpler zongzi, baozi, and jiaozi. Their command of spices is unbelievable and it would be great to cook food that well.

Cook the Book: 'Beyond the Great Wall'

Last year I spent four months studying in Chengdu, China. What an amazing country, and I love the Sichuan region. Food was amazing, I tried everything I possibly could, even the meats that sat in pools of blood all day, and the ones covered in flies hanging in front of the little shops. Never got sick, and some of the places that looked the worst, had the most amazing food, I've never been afraid to try something new and I'm sure glad my diet was not restricted by sanitation concerns, I figure if 1.3 billion people can survive that way for centuries it's not going to do any permanent damage to me. I can't wait to go back, what a cultural experience eating amongst all the Chinese people and doing my best to converse with the waitresses. So many great memories...
