The Cadbury Creme Egg McFlurry at British McDonald's

I work at McDonalds and didn't know they had started the promotion yet!

Fancy finding out on Serious Eats first.

Oreos have certainly invaded. I have watched them taking over for the past year or so and go from being unheard of to very popular for kids and everyone really. They are now sold everywhere.

How do Americans eat then. I must ask as an Englishman.

Creme Eggs are such an icon to me as someone who lives in the UK. I prefered the Cadbury Dairy Milk with Creme Egg bars a few years ago though to the Twisted things.

@Knowledge Bomb - I think they sell them all year round.

I am 17 and work part time in a McDonalds in England. I haven't had fish fingers there for a long time but can't see any reason not to eat them!

I live in the UK and have probably eaten some but can't remember what they are like! I will have to try some soon.

I'm an American lefty and I've always eaten in a basic European manner; friend's grandmother and her European friends. Except, I hold my knife in my left hand and fork in my right. I am pretty much ambidextrous about everything but handwriting.

Also, it's very bad manners to cut up all of something before eating. Just as it is bad manners to butter all of a roll/slice of bread (unless it's breakfast toast) before eating. Some Americans just have very bad table manners.

I have always eaten like this, and I'm nothing but a dirty Texan. No utensil switching, and must have one bite of everything on my fork at meal's end! It's like a mini eating game - rationing amongst the serving proportions. I guess I never realized most folks don't do it this way - always too absorbed in my own plate. :)

Aha -- Katje's makes them, and in German they're called Fred Ferkel. Saw them at Cost Plus again this weekend.

I'm a McDonald's Around the World girl... Everywhere I go, I need to make sure I hit McDonald's at least once. I loved the Cadbery Egg McFlurry in London and I loved the Greek Salad in Athens along with the 'Country Potatoes' (these awesome spicy wedge fries). In Berlin, I had this awesome apple pie/dumpling dessert with a light vanilla sauce. In Amsterdam, I made the mistake of trying the 'McKroket'- it was a fried meat patty with a curry-type sauce that came pouring out of it. Oh my gosh, I still remember that hideous taste-- it tasted like (what I imagine) wet, muddy, sweaty t-shirt to taste like. BUT-- Amsterdam did feature the best Big Mac I have ever had (the meat was fresh and lightly seasoned) and they had crispy waffle fries.

There's something to be said for McDonald's-- although I wouldn't eat there for every meal, it is really cool to see what local specialties they try to incorporate.

@London_Janice - I would try to set up a business but I think I'd end up eating them all before posting! I sent these to friend in the States regularly as she cannot get them there - they are by far my favourite sweet! Maybe we need to set up a Serious Eats food exchange!

I've stopped going into M&S as I really am trying to wean myself off these!

@mschlock - Yes! I've had those, they're made by HARIBO®

they're good!

Beg to differ. I thought these things were chalky and foul. This is what depression tastes like.

Yep, I've bought the pigs at Cost Plus before -- the bag's in German.

GRAPE! That's what the flavor was!

I found something similar to these at Cost Plus World Market. It may not have been the exact same thing, but the gummy pigs looked exactly the same. The bag wasn't in English and I couldn't figure out what the flavor of the piggies were outside of "incredibly fruity."

Check out your local World Market if you have one -- let us know if it's the same thing!
