Amazing Charcuterie Floor
I hope this was at least the kitchen floor...

Hmm well I've always wanted to try chocolate dipped bacon, so this would probably be kind of similar....
Heck, what can I say, I love bacon too.
And I LOVE cupcakes :) might as well try it!
Um I don't know about that tattoo though...
Swiss Restaurant to Serve Food Made With Human Breast Milk
Wow that gives me the bubble guts just reading that..um, ew...
Unless there was any real point to using it like a specific distinct taste that cannot be attained through other milk from animals I really see NO rhyme or reason behind this one except publicity, horrible publicity.

That's awesome! Very cool if I ever saw one I'd get it, kids would love it!
Ordering off the menu, take two...
I love double cheeseburgers with big mac sauce from McD's I used to get those from time to time
That list you supplied is really cool, there's so much stuff on there I'd never even thought about! Like a deep fried greilled chicken patty from McD's lol
A Horse is a Horse, of Course of Course... How About Dinner?
I would try it at least once!
Super Target vs. Corner Store: Which do you prefer?
Local stores are nice if I'm in a rush or making something with ingredients they might specially have there, but I have no problem with larger stores either, it's a lot more convenient because they tend to have everything I need in one trip, and a ton of varieties.
Guy Fieri on Food Network can’t miss
I'm going to tune in and see if his new show is any good, I like DDD but haven't really seen him on anything else where he actually cooks food
Canned Soup Truth
My mom makes turkey legs she seasons with garlic powder, lawrys seasoned salt, and diced onions then she boils them in cream of mushroom soup until the meat is falling off the bone....it's always really good :)
Help me pack my lunch, please - a Super Challenge.
A sandwich idea that I really like is a Veggie Pita sandwich:
Dice up some bell peppers, red onion, banana peppers, sliced tomato and romaine lettuce, toss with thousand island dressing, olive oil and vinegar. Keep it in a ziplock bag or salad container and load it into some pita bread at lunch (don't put it in the bread until you're ready to eat or it'll get soggy) it's realllly good :)
Cook the Book: 'Chocolate Epiphany'
A chocolate brownie sundae :)
Brownie on the bottom with a scoop of chocolate ice cream on top sprinkled with crumbled chocloate cookies, hot fudge, and whipped cream.
Help me pack my lunch, please - a Super Challenge.
THIS IS COMPLETELY VEGETARIAN. (Fish, though...)
Main Lunch:
How about a tuna sandwich?
Buy a thermos and have soup in winter.
Take a large piece of cold pizza.
Salad with veggies and low fat dressing.
Peanut butter and banana.
Tupperware, tupperware, tupperware!
One tupperware container, have some tuna salad or cheese. A ziplock, have some crackers.
I hope this helps your situation!

just tried these cupcakes, and I love, love, love them!!! there is never enough bacon. We tried the maple bacon and the salted caramel, both were amazing. The biggest problem with the cupcakes I have tried is that they are toothachingly sweet, More did a great job mixing savory and sweet. I just wish i lived in chicago
Swiss Restaurant to Serve Food Made With Human Breast Milk
Anybody heard of AIDS? Humans eat a much more varied diet than animals and also take more medications. Allergic people would definitely be affected. The taste changes based on diet. It's been a long time, but I recall it didn't taste that great to me and it was sticky. I'd run the other way - too dangerous and way, way, way too weird.
Swiss Restaurant to Serve Food Made With Human Breast Milk
how much is he paying for the stuff? and who is the mook that's letting him milk her? if it were multiple women in one room, would we call it a farm?
Swiss Restaurant to Serve Food Made With Human Breast Milk
@beth actuallythe other saying was the first that came to my mind! and Yes it is very apt!
Swiss Restaurant to Serve Food Made With Human Breast Milk
I wonder is if a mother giving the milk ate something that is a common allergy to people (nuts, shell fish, ect), would cause a reaction to the person eating the food w/that milk?
Swiss Restaurant to Serve Food Made With Human Breast Milk
@carol--the saying attributed to PT Barnum is "There's a sucker born every minute." Some debate that he actually said it, but it seems to fit here.
Swiss Restaurant to Serve Food Made With Human Breast Milk
Not to say I would every try it, but it is an interesting topic of why we are disgusted by our own bodies and not animals. I mean, every mammal mother has milk for their baby. Who's to say which mammal we take it from? But the idea of a line of women standing in line with "milkers" hooked onto their breasts, does sound a bit disturbing.
NEXT!
Swiss Restaurant to Serve Food Made With Human Breast Milk
This makes me want to puke a little. I'm so confused why I would gladly drink milk from a cows boob, but a human boob grosses me out. That just doesn't sound right. I don't think I could eat or drink anything that came from human boobs. Yet animals are....... animals. Oh great, now I'm disturbed by all of this. Could someone please explain why I feel this way?
Super Target vs. Corner Store: Which do you prefer?
Corner stores I use for beer, cigs, emergency itiems, I'm too lazy to go to mega market stuff. Target, I go twice a year but not for food, other household crap I need. As for Walmart, never been to one in my life.
Guy Fieri on Food Network can’t miss
@Josdean - ya know I could really use a new food processor - but this one is sooooooooo much fun, you just never know what's going to happen! We just cross our fingers and duck! LOL
Guy Fieri on Food Network can’t miss
I would LOVE for him to drop into my kitchen as my sous chef. Many of the dishes on GBB sound interesting, but I would need 2 people chopping veggies, a brandy new set of sharp knives (Retchel's perhaps), and a medic standing by to stitch my fingers back in place. Seriously, I think Fieri has good credentials and some tasty recipes, but pleeeeease FN, stop the madness now! Between DD&D, GBB, Off the Hook and the Fridays ads (out of their control of course) he's becoming as ubiquitous as RR. The hair, the bling and his goofy trademark words are starting to grate on my very last nerve. I haven't caught a whole episode of his new show yet, so I can't comment on that one. But I truly hope he doesn't trot out his videogame-playing buddies who are drop-ins on GBB. They don't add anything to the show other than periodic grunting, and their collective IQs are probably the same as their ages. Hopefully, he can get some talented cooks as guests on his new show or at least people who are entertaining by nature. @ Fanciemom - you sound like a natural choice for a guest! Let the mole fly and see where it lands!
Guy Fieri on Food Network can’t miss
@Buffy: I agree with you about FN going down in quality . I'm a little sick of so many Ace of cakes. I don't really prefer Alton Brown on anything because he is way too ..... weird? I just think he is so serious and explains way too much. That's why I like Guy, he's not serious and it is pure entertainment. Sometimes that what I need to remind me that cooking is fun.
Super Target vs. Corner Store: Which do you prefer?
Thanks everyone for the responses. I could see now where corner store would sound like gas station! Haha. But you know what we meant :)
Guy Fieri on Food Network can’t miss
@Fanciesmom & floridagirl: you raise a good point. When you put it that way, it would be a kick to have him in the kitchen with you. I think most of my irritations stem from the way FN has gone so far down in the quality of their programming in general.

It was one of the funniest nights ever! I sure smelled good though!

@franciesmom- I want an invitation to your house for mole explosion night! That's hysterical. You and yours sound like our gang. Too funny!
Guy Fieri on Food Network can’t miss
Guy has a strong background in food and restaurants. His recipes are imaginative and although not all of them "ring my chimes" I've got to admire him.
Floridagirl is right - lighten up! The kitchen is my playground, it's where the company always hangs, and we have FUN. DH and I frequently comment that we think Guy'd be a fun person to invite for dinner. Come on gang - crawl out from under your pretensions and live a little. (Hey, have you ever had a food processor belch mole sauce all over your kitchen?? And did you have to hang on to the countertop and each other laughing so hard you were all crying - even though it was in your hair, all over your favorite shirt, the cabinets, counters, floor, and everyone in range???? If not - I'm sorry, but I can just see Guy Fieri laughing his butt off along with us.
I'm not wild about his bleached, spikey hair, and all of his "bling" but I figure that I haven't accomplished near what he has in my 60 years - so I'm not going to knock him. I always learn some little trick watching him, and love his adventurous, playful way with food.
Super Target vs. Corner Store: Which do you prefer?
Oh, to have a corner market! My choice is Dillons (Kroger) or Walmart.
I avoid WM whenever possible so have to use one of the 4 Dillons in my area. I was in Greensburg, KS recently (small town flattened by an F-5 tornado). The ONLY store they have is a Kwikshop and have to drive 30 miles to the nearest Dillons so I'm glad for what is available. That said, I just spent a few days at my daughter's home near Dallas and really enjoyed shopping at Central Market. I told her it was pretty pathetic when I have to get my highs by cruising the supermarket aisles. It's probably a good thing it's 400 miles away.

I want.....
Please ignore the Mickey toaster and the Winnie The Pooh toasters that already exist in my house.
Super Target vs. Corner Store: Which do you prefer?
We have no Super Target, but even if we did I think I would have to say our corner stores. Within 3 or so miles we have Trader Joes, Fresh and Easy, Ranch 99 (Asian Market), Vallarta (Mexican Market), Jons (Armenian/Mexican), Cambridge Farms (Israeli), Ralphs (Kroger) and Pavillions (Safeway), Whole Foods and Gelson's (upscale supermarket). Produce is generally cheap at the ethnic markets and most spices are readily available.

He did make a pepperoni lasagna on GBB that I found interesting. I have to try it.
Super Target vs. Corner Store: Which do you prefer?
@ Geeka - I'm PGH. My Market District is the other one in the South Hills. I've had more close calls mowing down old ladies and kids with tunnel vision than I care to count in the ridiculously-designed parking lot. Ruthfred's Market is in Bethel Park (pretty much a haul for you). Smells fine, but you have to check the dates on certain items like yeast that don't move very well. Still, it's my go-to when I'm in the middle of a recipe and I ran out of ?????. I do get my veggies and fruits at a farm stand 20 minutes away past Trax during the growing season. I enjoy the drive into the country and the nice grandmotherly lady always tells me what's "good" that day.
Super Target vs. Corner Store: Which do you prefer?
My "corner store" is one of the smaller of a locally owned chain. I shop there on a weekly (sometimes daily) basis, shop the farmer's market for most fresh produce, and hit the big box stores once every month or two to stock up on some items.
Super Target vs. Corner Store: Which do you prefer?
@Josdean: Are you in PGH? where is this Ruthfred's you speak of? I totally agree with the budgeting extra grocery time to go there. Not to mention the weird way to exit the store (at least the Shadyside one).
There is a locally owned chain store near me, that I don't buy from because it smells bad. It doesn't look dirty, but it just doesn't smell right. I shop a the giant eagle, but try my best to supplement with going to a great farmer's market.
